Hitler sits next to him at the bar, and starts pumping him for information about weapons and invasion plans -- Homer of course answers all the questions. Then Bart comes along, spots Hitler, and chases him. The final scene is of Roosevelt giving Bart a medal for capturing Hitler; when Bart starts to chase after another man who is present at the ceremony, FDR says "No, no, that's Joseph Stalin, our friend!" The short ends with Bart saying "Catching Hitler was neato! Next stop, Hirohito!"

Womöglich ist Ihnen Dexter, der freundliche Serienkiller aus Florida, bisher noch nicht über die Glotze gelaufen und in diesem Falle sollte man sich unten kurz am genial inszenierten Intro ergötzen (...der beste Vorspann seit der Kunstgeschichte für die "Desperate Housewives"!)

Dexter arbeitet als Blutexperte bei der Bullerei und bringt als düsterer Rächer nach Feierabend all die Mörder um, die dem Gesetz irgendwie entkommen sind. Das Batman-Syndrom in der extremen Form. Kennt man vom "Punisher", einer Art von Batman mit Maschinengewehr, Totenkopf und Vietnam-Trauma (oder unter Garth Ennis inzwischen wahrscheinlich Iraq-Trauma...), der gerade in neue Filmform gegossen wurde.

Der Konflikt zwischen Gesetz und Gerechtigkeit ist die Muttermilch der Superhelden, jener Riege von uramerikanischen Ikonen und kleinen Göttern, die den bösen Buben auf die Schnauze hauen, die einem lahmarschigen Polizeirevier und der ewig inkompetenten Justiz mal wieder durch die Lappen gegangen oder so gefährlich sind, dass nur echte Helden mit ihnen fertig werden können.

Dexter funktioniert genauso, geht aber noch einen Schritt weiter und macht den Psychopathen zum freundlichen Helden einer wenig ironisch gemeinten Familienserie für die Generation Broken Home. Mit reichlich Zuckerguss wird die Kindheit des Psychopathen zur typischen "Origin-Story" eines durchschnittlichen Superhelden. Im Gegensatz zu den traditionellen Superhelden arbeitet Dexter aber nicht mit den Polizeikollegen zusammen oder liefert die gefangenen Superschurken artig im Arkham Asylum ab.

Wenn es ihn nach Gerechtigkeit dürstet, zieht sich Dexter die Plastikhandschuhe an und ermordet auf bestialische Weise andere Serienmörder, denen er vorher detektivisch auf die Spur gekommen ist. Denn natürlich findet Superdetektiv Dexter Spuren, wo seine dummen Kollegen nur Staub und Blut sehen.

Er tötet nur die bösen Jungs und darum ist er mit seiner blutigen Selbstjustiz für das Publikum auf der moralisch richtigen Seite. Und natürlich hat der Mann mit dem Hackebeil immer Recht und die Unschuldsvermutung scheint in diesem düsteren Florida sowieso nichts mehr verloren zu haben.

Die aufpolierte Oberflächlichkeit (man muss sich fragen, ob die Leute in all den Varianten von CSI immer noch nicht genug abgeschlagene Beine gesehen haben...) und all die gutaussehenden Klischee-Charaktere machen diese Serie eigentlich erst richtig erschreckend. Aber, zugegeben, "Dexter" ist dabei für ein paar Abende erschreckend unterhaltsam.

Beim Kollegen Koch sehr interessant zu lesen: Pop Fiction - Hollywood schlägt zurück : "Früher hat er in seiner MTV-Sendung »Punk’d« Prominente mit versteckter Kamera auf die Schippe genommen - jetzt dreht US-Schauspieler Ashton Kutcher den Spieß um: Zusammen mit eingeweihten Celebrities macht er die Medien lächerlich."

Also, der Redakteur war Bernd Fritz (boulevardtechnisch auch als "Buntstift-Lügner" oder "Buntstift-Lecker" bezeichnet) und es begab sich im September 1988.

Worum es ging: "Fritz behauptete, die Farbe von Buntstiften allein am Geschmack erkennen zu können, und schaffte dies dank einer Augenabdeckung, unter deren Rändern er unbemerkt hindurchsehen konnte. Die "Bild" tobte, das Publikum war entsetzt, dass die Sendung so einfach zu unterwandern war, die "Titanic" machte sich paukenschlagsmäßig einem breiteren Publikum bekannt und damals guckten sogar noch Menschen "Wetten dass...?" Menschen unter 70, meine ich. War eine andere Zeit. Es gab nur drei Programme und eine Mauer, der 11. September war nur ein Datum und die ehemalige Mannschaft von "Pardon" hatte nach heftigem Streit mit der Verlegerei ein eigenes Satire-Magazin auf Kurs gebracht.

Auf besonderen Wunsch: hier ein Video mit der Nummer und danach noch anderen Dingen, die nicht so lustig sind, aber am Ende kommt Michael Jackson und sieht mal wieder sehr ufohaft aus.
