It's a strange german tradition: for every football-worldcup the german team has to produce an album with some schlager-singer. In 1994, the boys got lucky. They got to record with The Village People.

They didn't get the fact that The Village People were representing the gay community in the US, I guess. Today everyone involved would love to forget about it, but thanks to ebay I was able to get a copy of this rare cd also featuring exclusice tracks by the usual suspects from Germany: Peter Maffay, Nicole ("It's just a game"! In English!) Die Prinzen, David Hasselhoff, Hape Kerkeling, The Bellamy Brothers, Stefan Waggershausen, Udo Lindenberg ("Amiland"), 4 Reeves featuring die deutsche Nationalmannschaft and another track the team did with The Scorpions.
