Der ehrenwerte Alex Tornado aus Berlin (demnächst auch wieder in so ziemlich jedem neuen deutschen Film mit Budget zu sehen) singt für Bild.de Madonna-Karaoke und hat sich mit „Deeper and Deeper“ die Tickets redlich verdient.

Das jüngste Album war ja jetzt nicht ganz so dolle, aber live hat es das Trio immer noch ziemlich drauf. Wer die Tage in der Gewühlheide nicht dabei war: BelaFarinRod machen ganz wenig Musik und reimen sich stattdessen gegenseitig voll bis die Schenkel platzen. Warum haben diese lustigen Boys eigentlich keine Fernsehsendung?

Simon hat 15 Jahre lang ein privates Klavierstudio unterhalten. Er hat eine Reihe von Techniken vom ungarischen Pädagogen Gabor Rosza gelernt. Simon hat viel Zeit mit Associate Professor Björn Ejdemo verbracht und an der Beziehung zwischen Lehrer und Schüler gearbeitet. Simon hat Klavierstunden verschiedenster Schwierigkeitsgrade gegeben - vom Anfänger bis zum Musikstudenten. Er hat Masterclasses in Canberra, Sydney, Berlin und Schweden unterrichtet. Simon hat ebenfalls Erfahrung als Gesangslehrer und hat dabei mit Solisten der australischen Oper ebenso gearbeitet wie mit Studenten des Sydney Musikkonservatoriums. Simon wurde oft gebeten, als Tutor für Ensembles der Kammermusik zu arbeiten.

Neben der Lehre hat Simon als Dirigent für eine Reihe von Ensembles gearbeitet, vom Symphonieorchester bis zu Chören.

Simon ist klassisch ausgebildeter Pianist. Er hat an der Canberra School of Music und in Schweden studiert und mit einer Reihe von Auszeichnungen abgeschlossen. Simon ist u.a. mit Jae Woo Kim und Catherine Carby (Opera Australia), Anna-Karin Öqvist und Roger Norén (Schweden) und bei einer Reihe von Liederabenden mit dem Chellisten David Pereira (ehemals Solo-Chellist für SSO, ACO, CSO und Australia Ensemble) aufgetreten. Simon war mehrfach auf ABC Radio zu hören, sowohl live als auch mit Aufzeichnungen. 2007 tourte Simon mit der Musik von Grieg and Janacek durch Schweden.

Als Pianist der Improvisation ist Simon auch Kopf von ASSEMBLAGE, einem stetig wechselnden Ensemble mit Mitgliedern wie Feral Media Produzent Danny Jumpertz und dem New Yorker Chellisten William Martina, Trompeter Simon Ferenci und Percussionist Jeremy Barnett. Simon ist auch Mitglied von PEDAL, einem Duo mit Pianist Chris Abrahams (THE NECKS) – ihr erstes Album erschien im April 2008 beim deutschen Label Staubgold und wurde von der Kritik begeistert aufgenommen.
