Five left-wing ex-students formed the band at the beginning of 1972. Powalla was replaced by Manfred Praeker in the Spring of 1973. Uwe Mullrich replaced Volker Hiemann for six months, then he moved on to Munich and Embryo being replaced by Bernhard Potschka in Lokomotive Kreuzberg in the Summer of 1974. Like Floh De Cologne, Lokomotive Kreuzberg had theatrical live shows, where the music only served as a texture and background for their 'cabaret performances'. Kollege Klatt (1972), and all subsequent albums, contained a full variety of musical styles. The liner notes for the album were written by none other than Floh De Cologne! In addition to their four albums, two singles were issued on Plane: "Chile '73" coupled with "Hey Mr. America" (1974) and "Arbeitslos" coupled with "Teddy Tex" (1976). MySpace-Freund der Woche ist der neue Shootingstar aus Liverpool, den man am Samstag, den 3.2., zusammen mit Karpatenhund, den Kölnern aus Hamburg, für 5 bis 7 Eureken im Berliner Magnet Club sehen kann. Wo kriegt man zu solchen Preisen überhaupt noch Musik zu sehen ?! Und dieser Mann ist wirklich schwer im Kommen!
So ein Zufall: Sir Warren Ellis hält illegaler Weise diese Woche auch noch den Überhit "Sugar assault me now" von Pop Levi (und noch mehr!) als MP3 bereit. Lohnt!

It turned out that Kar-Wai was a fan of Shadow's music and was keen to direct for him. The idea was to make a short film revolving around the song's hook line, "Tomorrow never comes until it's too late...." The plot centers around a guy who, upon discovering his girlfriend has betrayed him, tries to destroy all traces of their relationship, eventually realizing that what is done cannot be undone. WKW cast Chang Chen (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as the lead actor; Danielle Graham, Asia's current leading model, plays his woman. The video was shot by famed cinematographer Christopher Doyle, who has worked on all of WKW's films and has also shot films by directors Gus Van Sant, Barry Levinson and Philip Noyce."
