"Holy Terror - Batman vs. Al Qaeda" Frank Miller is full of shit! The man, who redefined Batman with "The Dark Knight", returns to work on the character which made him famous. Only this time he's writing pure propaganda: "Gotham has been attacked by Al Qaeda and Batman sets out to defend the city he loves. The book, which Miller has inked through 120 pages, is expected to run roughly 200 pages total. 'It is, not to put too fine a point on it, a piece of propaganda,' legendary Batman writer Frank Miller said of his latest project. 'Batman kicks al Qaeda's ass.' It's been a long time since heroes were used in comics as pure propaganda. As Miller reminded, 'Superman punched out Hitler. So did Captain America. That's one of the things they're there for.'"

Der Papst besucht South Park Die Macher der beliebten Cartoonserie haben jetzt mächtig Ärger mit den Katholiken: "Comedy Central might or might not have deleted the South Park episode 'Bloody Mary' (check the clips!) from tonight's schedule after protests from offended conservative Catholics. In this season finale episode, which first aired on December 7, a local statue of the Virgin Mary bleeds from its ass. Townsfolk think it's a miracle. Pope Benedict XVI visits to inspect the statue in person, determines that it is instead bleeding from its vagina, and declares: A chick bleeding out her vagina is no miracle. Chicks bleed out their vaginas all the time. from boingboing.net

9/11 in Comics "Many comic books companies are in New York City, and many of the super-hero characters are placed in New York City. The reaction of comic book writers and artists to 9/11 is shown here. They are presented exclusively as museum pieces for the study of American history." Please flip through "Heroes" and that issue of "Spider-Man". It's very educational! It helps understanding the US!
