Considering that Joss Whedon has done a thing or two to make entertainment more intelligent and written a few superhero comics himself, this is pretty weak. I understand that Whedon would rather like to be a musician. He's actually a good songwriter and the musical side sort of works, but it's still too nice, too Disney, too mainstream and simply not funny at all.
