• I forgot I had a freebie-dvd-copy of this. Must have been in some magazine, probably ended up on some pile to sort out later, moved out around my place a few times and decades later.. I watched it last night and it's really great. It has the best skeleton scene ever! The house you see in the opening is the Ennis House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. They also shot a scene for "Blade Runner" there. I watched "Last man on Earth" again afterwards because it was on the same dvd, but the copy was lousy and the disc sort of scratched in the middle and Hulk got mad, but thanks to the lord there is a new version which just came out and I might wanna buy it. It's free on the internet ( The Last Man on Earth, Public Domain), I know, but that means you haven't seen the film. Watch the opening again and you want to see it with a better resolution. Yeah, or you go and watch it on your Ipod while drinking Baby Machiatto on the taxi, trying to get the Concorde to New York in time....

Die wirklich ganz harten AnhängerInnen der Kreuzberger Nationalmannschaft (wer nicht da war, braucht nächst ma' auch nich' kommen oder gleich 5 Euro an'n Zeugwart!) kennen keine Berührungsängste und mischten sich heute im "Mika" in der Graefestraße Ecke Böckh unter's bunt vermischte, aber doch irgendwie deutsch angehauchte Völkchen. So muss es aber bei einer EM sein: spielt der Portugies', geht man "zum Portugiesen", spielt der Charisteas mal wieder unter aller, naja, lassen wir das, geht man halt zu den Freunden am Kottibussi Damm. Spielen die Piefkes gegen Sissis's letztes Aufgebot, muss halt die Eckkneipe herhalten, wo diese gähnend langweilige Partie mit allerlei Gedöhns und etwas Feuerwerk zum großen Sieg befördert wurde. Was tut man nicht alles für Integration und Völkerverständigung!

Aber das war echt enttäuschend, Brüder und Schwestern! Super, 1:0 durch Superossi in Standardsituation und ansonsten hilfloses Gegurke und ein aufgeregter Coach, der schon frühzeitig zum Nachsitzen mit der Kanzlerin berufen wurde.

Da werden die Deutschen dem Sieg der ruhmreichen Kreuzberger wohl kaum im Wege stehen und in drei Tagen "beim Portugiesen" sowas von vom Platz gefegt werden, dit is' jawohl klar!

While everyone's (Yes, everyone!) waiting for the premiere of Marvel's "The Incredible Hulk" (How can you not like The Hulk...?), the studio released an exclusive trailer for Marvel's "Punisher: War Zone". Everyone's (Everyone's!) favourite psychopath returns and after Dolph Lundgren failing in 1991 and that horrible movie with John Travolta from 2004, it's about time for some true old school action Marvel Style and a serious movie starring the man with the skull on his chest.

Writer Garth Ennis ("Preacher") has done some interesting things with the character the last couple of years and the folks at Marvel Studios are wise to try something without green monsters and people wearing spandex for a change if they really wanna become the no.1 player in the industry within five years. They got the toys, the heroes and everybody wants to work for them. It looks good for "Marvel".

They're also busy working on Wolverine (follow the link for a Flickr-Set: the set of "Wolvie fights Nazis on D-Day"), "Thor" and "Captain America" will follow soon and "Avengers" (all these guys in one big ensemble-movie) could become the biggest blockbuster of the decade.

The clip doesn’t look or feel anything like the movie, the Wild Thing suit is a very early cringy prototype, and the boy is a friend of ours Griffin who we had used in a Yeah Yeah Yeahs video we shot a few weeks before.
