Muß mich nebenbei wohl auch dem allgemeinen Emo-Bashing anschließen um die nicht irgendwann der eigenen Roots beraubt zu werden. Irgendwann hieß Emo ja auch mal Veganer-Hemd und große Hose, also, lange nach Washington-Emo uind so. Jetzt ist der Punkbezug endgültig weg und die Bürgerkinder crowdsurfen schon auf den Freiräumen um die man nicht mehr kämpfen muß weil ein unkommerzieller Anspruch nicht mehr erhoben wird. In Berlin alles natürlich besonders krass weil alle sich im Dorf eine Hornbrille kaufen und gen Hauptstadt ziehen. If I can make it there, I can make it anywhere. In Berlin betreten sie sofort die offiziell ausgelegte Szene-Auslegeware und markieren den dicken Max (letztere Formulierung wird von mir sehr geschätzt und eigentlich viel zu selten benutzt, vor allem wenn wir dabei auch noch an den Strauß-Jungen denken mögen!) Es gilt, sich einen Namen zu machen und ein dufter Typ zu sein, die Nähe von Prominenten in größtmöglichster Distanz doch zu suchen um sich dann sofort davon zu distanzieren. No Networking. Fame. Fight Club. Wer kommt cooler rüber.

Nach der ersten Caipi-Phase ist Kaffee Burger dann voll uncool weil da so viele Touristen sind, was natürlich überhaupt nicht stimmt und die selben Leute nur im Spiegel gelesen haben weil sie selbst auch eigentlich nie da waren und Russen irgendwie seltsam finden. Nach der Trainingsphase, man fragt Benjamin Von Stuckenborstel längst schon nicht mehr nach einem Autogramm, folgt die Pflicht, möglichst früh Stammgast in Kneipen werden, die vom Tagesspiegel als Geheimtipp empfohlen werden und angeblich nächste Woche wieder schließen, eine Band gründen, ein Bild malen, einen Track aufnehmen oder auflegen, an einem Projekt arbeiten, ein Buch über Menschen am Prenzlauer Berg schreiben, fürchterlich. Die Kür ist meist noch schlimmer und Teil einer komplizierten, sozialen Verstrickung alter Seilschaften, neuer Saufkumpanen und "Freunden von früher". Gemeinsam eröffnet man eine eigene Szene, kapselt sich irgendwo ab, verkauft billiges Bier an einem Tapetentisch mit Klemmlampe und taucht sogar im Kalender-Teil der Stadtmagazine auf. Das ist dann bei den jüngeren Kids wahrscheinlich Emo und bei den älteren Damen und Herrschaften ein Problem mit dem Alkohol. Besonders lustig die Ausgaben Deutscher Elektroniker und Deutschsprachiger Popmacher!

Ein vielgeschmähtes Volk, die Typen, aber möglichst früh viele Weizenbiertrinker in der Hütte zu haben, ist das Erfolgsrezept jeder Veranstaltung. Die Jungs gehen nicht so oft aus, zahlen artig Eintritt kommen oft allein, machen keinen Ärger, hören sich stoisch alles an, bleiben sitzen bis zum Schluß und trinken dabei ihre vier Gläser in rationalem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Verstehen sie daß.....?
"Hier ist Böblingen" tönt es zur Eröffnung einer Wiederauflage der versteckten Kamera, die eigentlich niemand nachgefragt hatte. Ein ebenso neuer wie alter Moderator löst den farblosen Cherno als Pausenclown dieser Pannen-Parade peinlicher Plattheiten.
"Und hier ist ihr Moderator, Fank Elsner!" Der Vorhang öffnet sich und heraus tritt einer, den man nur schwer mit dem Erfinder von "Wetten daß" verwechseln könnte, wenn auch beide Brille, graues Haar und Anzug tragen. Harald Schmidt gibt sich die Ehre, bleckt die Zähne und bekommt einen tosenden Applaus, der bei weitem den übertrifft, den Elsner etwas später bekommt.
Schmidt sagt nicht viel und kündigt nur den Mann an, der die Sendung übernahmen soll, die der erfolgreichste Entertainer im deutschen Fernsehen selbst für Jahre moderiert hat.
Ein toller Gag! Frank Elsner erklärt diesen auch sogleich, faselt etwas vom "auf ganz andere Ebenen kommen", erklärt Humor und wie Deutschland wieder mehr lachen muß. Dafür hat er Spaßgaranten wie Sacha, Sarah O'Connor, Axel Schultz und die Schürzenjäger eingeladen und die Filmchen mit der versteckten Kamera sind natürlich noch aufwendiger in Szene gesetzt worden als je zuvor.
Big Budget sozusagen. Als Beweis wird sogleich ein Film eingespielt, in dem eine mehr als tausendköpfige Firma einen fingierten Betrieb simulierte um junge Männer heimlich als angebliche Testpersonen für Unterwäsche zu filmen. Die Herren werden in eine Kabine geschickt und wenn sie gerade in Socken beim Wäsche wechseln etwas doof aussehen, fällt die Wand um und sie stehen auf einem Laufsteg.
Die Kamera sieht nach Big Brother aus und der Spaßfaktor ist gering. Die "große Samstagsabend-Show" kann kaum noch schlimmer werden und die Art und Weise wie Harald Schmidt den ach wie großen Elsner gerade zu bemitleidet, fortan die Butterfahrt unter den großen, alten Shows durch den Sturm der Einschaltquoten steuern zu müßen, hat etwas rührendes.

Elsner kann einem fast schon leid tun. Schmall, grau, blass und ohne jeglichen Esprit verkörpert er das Fernsehen der alten Bundesrepublik wie kaum ein zweiter. Mit Make-Up künstlich am Leben gehalten und bei jeder Gelegenheit für das Konzept von "Wetten Daß...?" gefeiert, aber im Grunde ein Unterhaltungs-Beamter, ein Mitglied des behördlich organisierten Vergnügens nach den Richtlinien des Bildungsauftrages der öffentlich-rechtlichen Sender. Wiederholen sie den zweiten Teil des letzten Satzes mal mit Sharping-Stimme und -Tempo.

Das herrschende Denken bei ARD und ZDF, daß es noch immer eine heile Welt von Fernseh-Familien gibt, die am Samstagabend generationsübergreifend das Wohnzimmer belagert und mit Salzstangen bewaffnet auf jemanden wie Herrn Elsner wartet, zeugt von einer gewaltigen Realitätsverdrängung.
Nicht nur gehen die jungen Leute am Samstag "in die Disco", sie haben inzwischen auch von Kindesbeinen an die eigene Glotze in ihrem Zimmer und müßen sich diesen Müll nicht antun.

Elsner wähnt sich aber noch mitten in den 70ern, heischt um Aufmerksamkeit mit versöhnlichem Gequatsche, was auch schon vor 30 Jahren als klebrig galt. Er berichtet von seinem Produzenten, einem Typen, der acht Zigaretten gleichzeitig raucht und überall halb ausgetrunkene Kaffeebecher hinterlässt wahrscheinlich. Dieser hatte ihm eingeschärft, er müße gleich zu Anfang "jemanden bringen, der jung und alt gefällt." Warum, das erzählt er nicht, aber Elsner bettelt darum, daß man bloß nicht umschaltet und dem Actionfilm bei den Privaten den Vorzug erteilt.

Solid mix of groove, tech, good old weird rock and a big dancefloor.
Good program with looks like a platform for the local scene experimenting with itself.

A japanese movie with polish actors called Avalon will take audiences in a storm when it comes out. Shot by Mamoru Oshii who did Ghost in the Shell in a wild duplex-coloured mix of real footage and animation this is a must-see if there are must-sees.

It's supposed to be the one we all have been waiting for since we found out that Star Wars is not as good as we thought when we were 6 years old!

Director Abbas Kiarostami from Iran didn't get a visa for the US to present his movie "ten" at the New York filmfestival. The US-embassy in Paris refused to let the filmmaker into the country.
Kiarostami got the golden palm in Cannes in 1997, the special-price of the jury in Venice in 1999 and a Fellinin-medal by the Unesco. He also received a special honor-decoration at the San Francisco Festival in 2000.
"Ten" was also shown in Cannes this year. The movie consists of ten episodes inside a car. The movie will still be shown in New York.
Richard Pena, director of the festival stated in Daily Variety that there were also problems with getting two chinese filmmakers into the country.

Bendis is an amazing writer and artist who ended up being a "just a writer" . His first bulk of work consists of dark crime-stories which have been collected in large paperbacks with lots of extra-material. These books are like dvds!
"Torso", "Jinx", "Fire" and "Goldfish" were recognized by the comic-media for it's brilliant dialogues. It was obvious that this guy had his shit together.
Following up was "Fortune and Glory", a mini-series about a writer trying to sell a script in Hollywood. But the big thing is "Powers", an ongoing series put out by Image Comics.

Bendis describes the series as "pretty high concept" at it is.
"It's about Walker and Pilgrim, two homicide detectives who work specifically cases that deal with super-powered homicides and by doing so, they end up unpeeling and looking under ther rocks of the various superheroes and the world they live in, and it's kind of a VH1 'Behind the Music' perspective on superheroes where we have one-hit wonders, legends, icons, scandals and all the facets of modern celebrities, mixed with the super-heroics we all grew up with."

The concept is brilliant and Frank Oz will do the movie-version.

"Powers" is collected in Paperbacks as well and it'S one of the most original series in years.
It also got Bendis a job at Marvel where he writes Ultimate Spider-Man, Daredevil and Alias.
Daredevil has always been the only interesting Marvel-title since it always had interesting new writers and artists. Bendis is doing a great job here and Alias is the best title in the new line of adult-orientated Max-comics. It's the story of a female ex-superhero who has turned privat-detective. It's another great read. Spider-Man, I don't care, but that's where the money is made and Bendis has also signed up as the writer for the new tv-cartoon starring old webhead.

Brian Michael Bendis set new standards. It's not only the brilliant dialogues he writes and the nice twists he comes up with, it's also that large amount of work he gets done every month while still operating a funny message-board under the banner of his website jinxworld.com. This guy puts out some of the most interesting shit in the entertainment-industry right now and he's still getting better and better with his indie-title "Powers".

Deep, down and dirty, knallharter Humor, excellente Stories in einer Mischung aus "HardBoiled Detective Story" und "Batman-Animated". Bendis beherbergt außerdem eine Site mit täglichen Updates. Probably one of the most entertaining books written about US-politics and a bestseller in the States.
Michael Moore has his shit together and points us at some remarkable facts surrounding the gouvernment of W.Bush. He starts with the strange race which got this guy into power and focuses on telling the reader how to take action.
Some sections are kind of dull, but this is book makes more sense than a lot of the other ones which came out lately.

Moore is also the guy behind the series "Tv Nation" and "Awful Truth".
