Comics:

Marjane Satrapi, a graphic novelist I just read "Sticheleien" Edition Moderne, 2005), the german edition of "Broderies" (L'Association, Paris, 2003) by Marjane Satrapi, the only interesting post 2000 comic artist out there right now. Another great book by the Fräuleinwunder from Iran. I loved it. So, what's next? Marjane Satrapi

Ultra-Low Budget Filmmaking Moonshine is the new sensation at the Sundance Festival this year. Not because it's such a great vampire-movie (maybe it is...), but because it was made for 9200$, including the costs for an Apple G4 and a Panasonic camera for $3495.00. The site has some useful links for "Ultra-Low Budget Filmmaking".

"Michael Jackson Seeks Job in Bahrain" "He has shopped for real estate here, been spotted in glitzy malls - and now it appears that Jackson is interviewing for a job. The singer, his reputation in tatters at home after winning a grueling molestation trial in California last year, is negotiating a position as a consultant with a Bahrain-based company that plans to set up theme parks and music academies in the Middle East, according to a press release."

In actuality, MOUS is a top-secret consortium of scientific geniuses backed with all the funding, nuclear technology, bad ideas and pure will necessary to control the entire world." Keinesfalls verpassen sollte man das Schützenfest von der EP "Songs To Make Love To" der begnadeten Faith No More.

It was 40 years ago today... BATMAN: Haven't you noticed how we always escape the vicious ensnarements of our enemies? ROBIN: Yeah, because we're smarter than they are! BATMAN: I like to think it's because our hearts are pure. On January 12, 1966, the coolest TV-show of all times premiered with "Hi Diddle Riddle" and it's still not out on dvd. The feature-film has been out for a while and it's great (a really funny commentary by Adam West and Burt Ward.) No other TV-show took it itself less serious.
