Ich darf eigentlich nichts erzählen oder zumindest darf ich nicht die Knaller verraten, aber nach vier Jahren ist die letzte Klappe für den Dokumentarfilm über das Leben und Sterben von Dean Reed gefallen.

Die feine Firma Totho ermöglichte noch Ausflüge nach Chile und in die USA, wo man u. a. mit Isabell Allende sprach und in Denver eine verrückte Russin traf. Die Reise hat sich in jeder Hinsicht gelohnt. Es gibt neues Material, was so derartig sensationell ist, dass es mich in den Fingern juckt, aber Vertrag ist Vertrag und so...

Der Film befindet sich ab sofort "in der Post", wie wir beim Film immer sagen, also "Post-Production". Sowas dauert erfahrungsgemäß sehr lange und man zankt sich dabei sehr oft, was dann als produktiv eingestuft werden kann. Wenn am Ende niemand im Team mehr miteinander redet und alle miteinander schmollen, ist man endlich ganz fertig.

Der Film wird mit dem neuen Material, was Produzent und Regisseur aufgetrieben haben, aber jetzt tatsächlich der Überhammer. Allein die Aufnahmen aus dem nahen Osten, wo Dean Reed mit Arafat am tanzen ist und das neue Material zum Tod von Dean Reed... Alter Schwede, ich bin so derartig stolz auf Euch, Jungs und Mädels, die Ihr da alle dran beteiligt wart. Das war ein verdammt schönes Stück Arbeit und es hat sich wirklich gelohnt.
