Slashdot reports: An anonymous reader writes "ThePirateBay.org, a longtime fixture of the BitTorrent community, is currently under investigation. Slyck.com is reporting their servers have been seized by the Swedish police." What's really interesting about them is the strange political power that they held in their homeland. There was much discussion even of a political party. This will be interesting to watch unfold.

Gemäss einem Bericht der italienischen Zeitung La Repubblica haben sich Europas Hooligans und Neonazis grenzübergreifend zusammengetan. Gemeinsames Ziel: Ein Massaker an Muslimen in Deutschland.

«Wir haben uns zusammgenschlossen. Zum ersten mal sprechen und planen wir zusammen, mit den Engländern, den Deutschen, den Holländern, den Spaniern. Wir haben ertmals alle ein gemeinsames Ziel: An der Weltmeisterschaft wird es ein Massaker geben», diktiert der italienische Hooligan dem La Repubblica-Reporter in den Notizblock. Der rechtsextreme Ultra weiss, wovon er spricht. Laut eigener Aussage hat er an dem Treffen teilgenommen, an dem sich die verschiedenen Hooliganverteter Europas auf eine gemeinsame Linie geinigt haben. Für ihr Treffen wählten die vereinigten Fussball-Nazis einen symbolträchtigen Ort: Braunau am Inn in Österreich.

Der interviewte italienische Faschist ist laut La Repubblica bekennender Fan der AS Roma. An der WM freut er sich aber nur auf das grosse Blutbad: «Wir werden alle in Deutschland sein. Und dort hat es Türken, Algerier, Tunesier. Wir werden sie angreifen. Das sind alles Feinde, die wir eliminieren werden. Genauso wie die Polizei.» Angst hat der Nazi-Fan gemäss eigener Aussage in La Repubblica nicht. «Warum auch», fragt er lapidar: «Wir werden Zehntausend sein.»

BBC: Comic book heroine Batwoman is to make a comeback as a "lipstick lesbian" who moonlights as a crime fighter, a DC Comics spokesman has confirmed. (...) The new-look Batwoman is just one of a wave of ethnically and sexually diverse characters entering the DC Comics universe.

Am 15. Mai 2006 gegen 8 h hat Yovana Rodríguez, die Sekretärin von Sinaltrainal-Büro in Barranquilla, als sie zur Arbeit kam, auf dem Boden einen Umschlag gefunden, in dem sich ein Brief mit der folgenden Drohung befand:

Die folgenden sind die Namen der Pamphleteschreiber und Thesenaufsteller, die diese Stadt ficken: Euripides Yance, Limberto Carranza, Campo Quintero Jesús Tovar, Eduardo Arévalo, Tomas Ramos, Henry Gordón, Gastón Tesillo, Carlos Hernández. Es ist die Zeit gekommen, ihre Tentakel auszurotten, die sich mit jedem Tag mehr in den Gewerkschaftern, Universitäten und den Organisationen, die sich schlecht beeinflussen lassen, ausbreiten. Am 16. Mai erhielten die Genossen Euripides Yance und Limberto Carranza in ihren Wohnungen Telephonanrufe, in denen sie mit dem Tod bedroht wurden.

Es nicht das erste Mal, dass diese Art von Drohungen gegen die Genossen Euripides Yance, Campo Elias Quintero, Limberto Carranza und die Familien von Gewerkschaftern von SINALTRAINAL und Coca-Cola Arbeitern gerichtet werden und es passiert genau jetzt, wo wir einen Tarifvertrag mit diesem Unternehmen in Bogotá aushandeln.

Wir fordern die Regierung auf, die Taten zu untersuchen, die materiellen und ideellen Verantwortlichen zu finden und das Leben in die Unversehrtheit der Sinaltrainal Mitglieder und unserer Familien zu schützen.
